Economy

We must keep taxes low on both individuals and corporations in order to grow our economy and compete in the global marketplace. I support stopping industry-specific bailouts and letting the free markets work. I also support tax incentives for small businesses.

Healthcare

We need to have choices for healthcare and the government must not be depended upon to provide such services. We must not raise tax or mortgage the future of our country for another major government program.

National Security

We have lost 4,375 Americans in Iraq and 986 in Afghanistan. We have spent a trillion dollars in Iraq and Afghanistan. After years of waging wars, we are still spending $250 million a day in Iraq and $75 million a day in Afghanistan. The President needs to provide clear objectives and executable strategies before we commit any more resources and precious American lives. I support sending advisers and aid but not more combat troops to Afghanistan. However, now that our troops are engaged in combat, we must do all that we can to support them, their families, and when they return home. We must fulfill our commitment to these heroes.

Education

We need to overhaul our public education system. I support alternative options to educate our children including parental involvement and after-school programs.

Freedom and Liberty

I am a strong supporter of the right of law-abiding citizens to keep and bear arms. I believe in individual choices, liberty, and the right to pursue happiness. I believe in personal responsibility and respect for others.
